Fleeing Iran

Coming from Iran, there is a small but growing exodus of crusading journalists, human rights activists, academics and artists who have long ranked among Iran's chief agents of change. They range from high-profile cases to the lesser-known members a movement of gays and lesbians struggling for tolerance in a nation where homosexuality is punishable by death. They struggle with an isolated and depressed life while searching for safety in Turkey.
